At Clifford House we love to host free events for our foster families. This Autumn we invited all our staff, foster parents and children to grab their wellies and join us for a wonderful day out at Perrymill Farm.

Located near our local office in Bromsgrove, Perrymill is a family-owned farm which has been taken care of by the Cheape family for over 200 years. With a beautiful pear orchard and vibrant wildflower meadows, Perrymill was the perfect place for our foster families to take some time to relax, recharge, make new friends and have lots of fun!

“Days out with Clifford House are always centred around the children, but they’re also great for us foster parents to get together and meet as well,” said Sarah, one of our foster mums. Sarah had a great day out with her little ones at Perrymill. “This place is great, and it’s just a stone’s throw from where I live. It’s just a great day out!”

The day was a fantastic opportunity to unplug from the day-to-day business of work and school life, leaving behind our devices for a chance to get stuck in with activities including feeding the farm animals, cuddling bunny rabbits and learning all about life on the farm. Both the children and adults enjoyed this opportunity to connect with nature and with one another.

“We get together really often and do lots of amazing things,” said our registered manager, Leslie Greenfield. She encourages everyone in the local area to join in the fun and begin making a difference to children’s lives. “If you’re thinking about fostering, I know that Clifford House would be the right place for you, so please apply!”
